About Us

Our Senators

Andee/Andreanna Gude

My personal goal as president is work as a resource to students and improve the lives of Reedies. I recognize that this looks different and requires different advocation, depending on students' intersections of identities. My personal aspirations and work on senate is primarily related to quality of student life and resources and financial and career development.

HI! I'm Anahi (ANA-ee), your lovely vice treasurer, and I am here for all things money related. My passion for this work is to make things come to life, having events through out campus and seeing students support students. Meera Balan

I’m Meera Balan a sophomore majoring in English and psychology. I’m a third-culture kid who has split my life between India and the States. This experience has shaped who I am and one that influences the work I do as a senator. For instance, being a part of  FinnComm allows me to advocate for POC programs to ensure community events are allowed to happen on campus. Being on this committee allows me to allocate funding to affinity and identity-based groups that let them host events that foster solidarity. The best way to feel a part of the community is through food. Being South Indian American, I am lucky to explore many options, making me a foodie. I can fulfill this love by working with Commons. Working with Commons, I aim to ensure food is served follows allergen-friendly guidelines and aims to have a wide variety of options. Safety is paramount on a college campus, and working on Title IX and AOD gives me a sense of purpose as I can advocate for student voices while providing insight to the student body regarding these policies.

Caroline Spiggle

Hi I’m Caroline Spiggle & thanks for electing me to student senate! I’m a biology major, but you’ll just as likely catch me in an art history class. I’ve got a Bernese Mountain Dog named Everest, and our favorite  thing to do on campus is getting pup cups at the Cross Canyon Cafe. My commitment to making campus life more inclusive for disabled students guides my work on various committees, including SCAPP, Academic Success, Academic Support Services, Disability and Accessibility Resources (DAR), Accessibility, Commons, Student Spaces, Renn Fayre, and Mural. I also established C.A.R.D.S. (Community Accessibility Resource and  Disability Support), a project that aims to enhance support systems for disabled students across campus.
